Review: Pilot Iroshizuku Fuyu Gaki

Fuyu Gaki is one of the orange entries to Pilot Iroshizuku ink series. There is also another yellow-orange ink named Yu-Yake in the series. Yu-yake is more akin to the evening sun while Fuyu Gaki is a more orange-red shade. It is a bright colour that stands out well on the paper. It isn't too light like Private Reserve Buttercup. Though the name Fuyu Gaki means winter persimmon in Japanese, it looks very different depending on the nib size. It has really subtle shading. Overall, it is an enjoyable bright colour that brings life to any writing.

My thanks to Sunny of Straits Pen for giving me a sample of this ink.
