Souten is a part of Sailor's regular line pf inks. It has subtle shading visible on my Japanese M nib. The ink's dry time on regular paper is pretty good though it feels rather extended on Rhodia and Kokuyo paper. As a blue ink it is a bright and vibrant shade but otherwise it is rather boring. You know me and my blue inks problems. However Souten does remind me of Pilot Iroshizuku Kon Peki except Souten is darker and more like a true blue. It has a wonderful red sheen once the ink pool together.
My thanks to Sunny of Straits Pen for giving me a sample of this ink.
