Pilot Iroshizuku Shin Kai is the blue-black ink of the IRshizuku ink series. Like the other Iroshizuku inks that I have tried, Shin Kai is well behaved, has good flow and reasonably good dry time. An addition bonus, Shin Kai also has the much sought after sheen. It has a red sheen around the edges or on surface where the ink pools. The ink goes down on the page as a dark blue but dries to a blue-grey colour. There isn't much shading visible on the ink. There is also some bleed through but very little though.
